Demecio Sierra discovered photography from traveling to paint murals in many places across the west coast . During these travels there has been many new faces and acquaintances met. Each one as individual as the things that drive them. The decision to document these events became apparent when in 2001 Demecio was diagnosed with an eye disease known as Keratoconus. A coning shape in the cornea distorting the light and shape of the real world. So with this, the camera became the eye for detail in the many situations, where the world blurred into itself. www.streetsiview.com

Our founder is an art collector and artist advocate. He and his partner live in Keizer an hour south of Portland, Oregon. He brings seven years of industry knowledge to the magazine.

• He co-founded a gallery in Cincinnati. Ohio in 2006. In 2008 he served on the Board of Directors for Keizer Art Association being voted in later that year as the 2009 President of the Board of Directors for Keizer Art Association in Oregon and that same year founded the Emerge Oregon Art Series in Salem, Oregon which ran every month until March 2011.

• In August 2011 he founded Emerge Underground in partnership with Northwest Scion Events. It was a once monthly, one day art show giving emerging artists the opportunity to show their work in a non threatening professional setting. His passion is to encourage artists to create art without restriction.

• In August 2011 he founded (EA Zine) Emerging Artist Magazine to shed light on the low to mid emerging art marketplace. He served as Executive Editor until September of 2013.
