KEF

KEF: German Graffiti Artist
by EAM Staff

Born in Aachen, Germany, KEF has embraced his destiny as an up and coming street artist.

Street Art is a loose term thrown around these days by people both in the art world and outside of it. Many street artists are sticker artists these days and it is harder to find a sticker artist who knows his way around a can of Montana Gold. KEF is such an artist. He got his start early on painting “traditional graffiti” and that opened up doors for him to develop his characters that he paints now. He
depends on the eyes of the creatures to draw in and mesmerize each viewer. His paintings are highly textural and are mixed with the feel of a woodblock print.

”I am using a mixture of techniques far from what’s considered as normal, and I am trying to not have my surroundings affect me“.

In 2011, KEF's work was part of Weserburg Museum for Contemporary Art's sixth International Sticker Awards.

As is typical for the street art scene KEF is also a electronic music producer which allows him to further expand his character base.
